QPP, QPIP, Employment Insurance, vacation accruals and exports to Nethris, ADP or QuickBooks: Cadanza prepares gross pay and hours, and your provider validates net pay. CNESST references are close at hand.
Cadanza does not replace your payroll provider. This guide explains how Cadanza structures hours and exports. QPP, QPIP and EI rates and contributions change each year; your payroll provider and Revenu Québec remain the final reference.
Three contributions appear on Quebec payroll, alongside federal and provincial income tax. Cadanza exposes gross pay and hours; the official calculation happens with your payroll provider.
| Contribution | Cadanza’s role |
|---|---|
| QPP — Quebec Pension Plan | Quebec retirement contribution with an annually indexed ceiling. Cadanza sends insurable gross pay to the provider. |
| QPIP — Quebec Parental Insurance Plan | Funds Quebec parental leave, separately from the federal system. Employee and employer rates differ. Cadanza identifies eligible hours. |
| EI — Employment Insurance (reduced Quebec rate) | Quebec’s EI rate is lower because QPIP covers parental benefits. Cadanza marks Quebec in the export. |
| Federal and provincial income tax | Use Revenu Québec and CRA tables as the source. Cadanza does not issue tax slips; your provider handles them. |
In Quebec, vacation entitlement depends on continuous service with the same employer. Cadanza records the accrual; payroll pays it out.
